Occasionally just sitting still inside the a/c is more than enough for me.
Those times are far more abundant while I was in the summer.
Where I live, the summer time heat is super intense & at times even dangerous. I prefer to get outside. But when the summer time heat is up, I make sure that I get outside early in order to be in the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling when the heat of the afternoon hits. These are the times that I cherish our peace & quiet inside the cooling comfort of the a/c. The other afternoon, while I was chilling in the cooling, I got to thinking just what it must have been prefer without new Heating & Air Conditioning technology while I was in the summer. I guess that if this was the case now, as much as I prefer it here, I might have to make other arrangement while I was in the summer. But there wasn’t new Heating & Air Conditioning technology until the mid 50’s. Before that, you were lucky to have a fan or at the entirely best, a swamp cooler. A swamp cooler is an evaporative air cooler that uses the evaporation process to cool the air a bit. This is an incostly cooling plan that is still used around the globe. But there were many, several people who just had to find a shady spot & hope for a breeze. It sort of makes myself and others think prefer a real wimp when I consider how tough that way of life must have been. But more than anything, thinking about all those years ago makes myself and others all that more appreciative to prefer the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling in our home.
