I never really thought too much about my HVAC in my last home.
I just had a regular central HVAC with standard ductwork.
The system worked well enough but it was a fairly old system. Regardless it worked fine and the A/C condenser unit was in the back, basically out of sight unless you went all the way to the back of the house. When I moved into my new home, I thought about possibly hiding the condenser unit, but with the ductless mini split, it wasn’t really an eyesore. The outdoor condenser unit is actually sleek and attractive. Even the line sets that go to the condenser are hidden beneath the lineset covers and they don’t look bad at all. The best thing is that the lineset covers are paintable, and I decided to paint them the same color as the siding of my home. The most amazing thing of all was that I installed the new HVAC system on my own. It’s not something that I ever thought I would be able to do, but I did a lot of research and studied numerous installation videos. The ductless mini split works better than ever and now it’s something I think about whenever I pass the indoor units or the outdoor condenser. I like to admire how well the system works and it achieves the temperature control settings with no issues. When I tell people that I installed this HVAC on my own, they right away want to know if I could do it again, at their house or friend’s place. I never wanted to do that, but I have done a few jobs and made some good money. Maybe I can do this as a side business.
