So far, this Summer has been overcast, rainy & humid, however there’s been actually few sunny afternoons, and after an seriously long Winter with sub zero temperatures, bitter wind chill & record-setting amounts of snow, I was absolutely looking forward to shutting down the gas furnace & opening some windows; I was sad to air out the house, get outside & breathe some fresh air.

I wanted central air conditioning installed right away, then since I already have the ductwork to supply the gas furnace, the project wasn’t overly involved or invasive. It was fairly costly because I decided to treat my family to a top-of-the-line model. I invested into all of the most advanced & energy saving features, including zoned control, adjustable speed compressor & wireless connectivity. The cooling system automatically adjusts its speed to the demands of the house, senses complications with humidity, runs quietly & is able to target the temperature in particular rooms, but while the Summer is still a giant disappointment, at least the house is cold & comfortable. The air filtration & fan keep the media air cleaner & healthier… Because I chose an Energy Star rated model, the electrical bills are adequate.
