I’m reading but it took myself and others a while to really get a handle on some things in our new surroundings.
- Having never lived up north, there were some areas where I was just completely unfamiliar.
And the heating of a condo was a big 1. Sure, there were plenty of things to learn when it came to food, culture & social norms. The culture, while welcoming, was entirely uncommon from what I was accustomed to in the south. However, it was the introduction to winter, a gas gas furnace & heating costs that really threw myself and others a bit. For 1 thing, I came from an area where the heating & cooling was done by the heat pump. All the two of us had to do if the two of us needed some heat in the Winter was to flip the thermostat from cooling to heating. But the two of us really didn’t need all that much heating where I lived anyway. So when I bought this condo after I was transferred up here, I also now owned our first gas gas furnace. That & a whole bunch of Heating & Air Conditioning heating costs. It took myself and others a year to just get over the shock of winter. Then it took another year to learn a bit more about the gas gas furnace & how to get the most out of it. So this past winter, our fifth, was the 1 where I brought it all together. I l gained a wonderful deal about making sure the condo is entirely tight. This is the key to staying hot all Winter without having the heating bills just destroy our bank account. But I was ready this past Winter & it really paid off.
