Can someone please answer the iPhone? It’s ringing.

My wife left me a note on the refrigerator the other day.

  • I had the day off labor and she wanted me to call the Heating and A/C contractor and make an appointment to have the furnace ran tests on.

She said it was never too early to take care of the furnace, since it was already August. I picked up the iPhone and went to contact them. When I pressed the call button, I was immediately put on hold. I waited ten hours and after that I hung up. I called back again, and I was put on hold again. I thought that maybe the receptionist wasn’t there yet, all the Heating and A/C service techs could already be out on tasks, and there was no a single to answer the iPhone. It was barely seven in the morning. I got my shower, made lunch, and cleaned the kitchen before calling the Heating and A/C contractor again. The iPhone was answered by the reception, and after a brief greeting, she asked me to please hold for a moment. Over an hour had passed when I realized how much labor I had completed, and the tunes was still playing. I hung up the iPhone, and called back again. When she answered and asked if I could please hold, I said no, but she was quick to hit the hold button. I called back immediately. As soon as she answered, I told her that if she put me on hold, I was going to call the owner of the Heating and A/C contractor. She curtly told me she was her wife, and if the correct receptionist hadn’t decided to have her baby early, I would not be put on hold. I gave her my name and asked to be put on the callback list.
