I wanted to go out and buy a portable air conditioning system for my home office.
The reason for this was that my central heating and air conditioning system did not have air vents in the room where my office is located.
This was due to me being cheap when I had the extension built on to the house. To have air vents put in and extra ductwork laid would have cost me a fortune. And building this office space already had done that on its own! So I figured I could just go out and buy a portable air conditioning system for the summer months. The winter I didn’t have to worry much about temperatures as this room was so air tight, unless it was freezing out, I would be fine without heating or air conditioning. If it did get cold, I already have a portable space heater. But now for the portable air conditioning system, the question was how much are those things? The price of portable air conditioning systems seemed to have gone up from everywhere I was looking. I remember them being no more than a few hundred bucks. Now, it looks like everywhere I was looking was wanting a little over four hundred dollars for the portable a/c unit. I am going to guess that this is the cost of portable air conditioning these days, and I am going to have no choice but to pay it if I want to have some kind of cooling in my home office space! Which I most definitely need!
