My baby was now three months old, and I needed to go back to work. As much as I enjoyed staying home with my baby and being a mom, I couldn’t stand sitting around the house all the time. I had always been a hyper person who needed to constantly be doing something. When my husband got home from work, I told him we needed to find someone trustworthy who could watch our baby. The first person we thought of was my mother. She could come to the house and watch Maizie, and I was sure she would enjoy spoiling her. I called the HVAC company and asked if they could put me back on the roster. The boss said he had missed my face, and he also missed the best HVAC tech he had ever hired. I was able to start work at the beginning of the week. I was teased by some of the HVAC techs about being the Mommy technician. They asked if I wanted to only work on HVAC systems for families so I could ooh and ahh over the children? I punched the one in the arm and walked away. I went into the office and told the boss I was being harassed by the guy and all he did was laugh. He told me that although I was his best HVAC technician, I had to learn to play nice. He refused to let my brother go because of his HVAC skills, and he told me to be nice to him. He kissed my forehead and said it was nice to have his daughter back, then shooed me back to work.
