I was surprised one day when my wife was looking at an advertisement from an HVAC company. They were talking about doing radiant heated flooring installations for 50% off the installation price. I had heard that radiant heated floors were extremely expensive to have installed. I thought we would never get something like that solely because of the high cost. The advertisement even showed a diagram which explained how the radiant heated floors work. It showed how the heating is actually very slow rising up, so it heats everything in the room evenly and keeps everything comfortable. Also because the heat rises so slowly, the energy is not wasted. This heating system is definitely one of the most energy efficient types around and not many heating systems can provide greater comfort. So after talking it out with my wife, we decided that it couldn’t hurt to go for this installation. We still were using an old oil furnace and to be honest, I was sick of having to pay the cost of refilling the oil all the time. Oil costs a great deal of money. I was thinking we would just upgrade to a gas furnace, but this radiant heated flooring installation looks so much better. So we ended up going for the deal and we were really happy with the amount we paid for the installation. To be honest, it was still a little bit high for us in cost, but the regular price was unbelievable. Still, now that we have our radiant heated floors, we are extremely happy. We don’t remember ever feeling so comfortable in our home and it has been truly wonderful.
