When the heat went out in our barn last month, I provided little thought to having it repaired.
Our horses were out in the pasture most of the year regardless of the weather, & they didn’t seem to require much heat.
When the mares began foaling, I could see the babies shivering. I realize how quickly summer time was ending, & all of us needed to get the heating in the barn repaired. I had seen what happened when the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system inside was not working. The lambs didn’t survive, & the cows & chickens didn’t produce adore they did during the summer. Some of our horses were thoroughbreds, & it was safer to have a furnace in place to keep them warm. I have a lot of money tied up in the stock that was in that barn, & I couldn’t afford to lose it because I was too cheap to install a furnace. I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier & asked to have a professional come out to the house. When the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional arrived, he tested the barn & provided myself and others his plan of what kind of heating would be best for the barn? He didn’t adore the plan of having any kind of furnace that would be near the livestock. He said they could actually back into it & get burned or cause a fire. Instead, he recommended I purchased some sizable overhead gas furnaces that would gently overheated the barn, without affecting the creatures. I enjoyed his help & although the heating was upscale; I told him to install it as soon as possible.
