I’ve spent my adult life overseas.
This was because of my work helping emerging economies become sustainable & viable; It has genuinely been a passion for me.
I help find financing and environmental progress to developing nations. In all my time overseas, I’ve never worked in a extravagant office or enjoyed the sort of zone controlled Heating & A/C that is taken for granted here. In fact, where I live & work, I rarely I have access to what every one of us would consider modern Heating & A/C technology. I have an house in a developing nation where I currently live & it does not have any sort of residential Heating & A/C, and the government building the houses my office doesn’t even have commercial Heating & A/C. There is an evaporative cooler & that has pretty extravagant. But easily soon, I shall be transitioning to a stateside career as my overseas work will be coming to an end; And while I find parts of our culture to be a bit garish & over the top, I do miss being home… Recently, I’ve been stateside for nearly six weeks in a rented apartment. The residential Heating & A/C is not the best but it’s far & away better than anything I’ve experienced in a long time. I am genuinely letting myself care about the Heating & A/C cooling before I head back one more year of working overseas. But I can tell you, I am kind of happy about getting my own condo & having my own Heating & A/C equipment. That will be a first for me & I am happy about it.
