My partner plus I planned the perfect honeymoon, plus it was almost time to go, and the people I was with and I spent the first year of our marriage saving currency so the two of us could go to an all-inclusive resort in the Bahamas…
Then when the two of us got there, they greeted us with a tote of goodies that was made just for honeymooners plus given a special room on the beach with a private entrance to the ocean coastline.
The first evening was just what the two of us dreamed it would be, however it soon went from a dream to an evening mare; a storm came in with hurricane force winds plus it was raining so strenuous the power went off. Without the power, there was no air conditioning; however, that didn’t matter. The temperature dropped almost twenty degrees, plus the two of us were shivering. The people I was with and I cuddled up in bed, just in time to get notified the two of us were being sent to a storm shelter. Although it was cool outside, there were several bodies in the storm shelter that suddenly got hot plus humid. Air conditioning could have saved our olfactory senses, however that wasn’t happening without power. Without air conditioning, people were dripping with sweat plus body stink was getting to me, then I also couldn’t breathe, plus all I wanted to do was sob. Two afternoons later, the storm passed, however they were giving all the hotel guests a free stay when the two of us wanted to show up. I couldn’t wait to get home plus have a proper vacation, even if the two of us were just in our house plus had the gas furnace instead of the air cooler. I gave our free trip to my brother for his honeymoon, plus the two of us swore the two of us would never vacate our house again.
