When the school asked for volunteers to help with the talent event, I was happy to do it.
It was for the middle school pupils; what could go wrong? I would find out much later.
We would hold the event in the evening, but the team making the arrangement would have to be there in the morning. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the hall was that it was too hot, so I checked the thermostat to make adjustments, but it did not work. We had to do something about the a/c installation. The cooling of the hall was essential, especially since the more the people were, the hotter and stuffier it would become. I needed to gain know-how when it came to cooling products. I had once cleaned a washable filter at home, but that was as far as my a/c care expertise went, so I informed the teacher in charge, who called the air conditioning company. The a/c workman arrived in less than an hour and did the necessary a/c repair on the dual fuel system; he also checked the air purification system, which he said was working fine. He also advised the school to replace the air conditioning filter monthly. He also mentioned SEER ratings of the quality HVAC equipment, but my mind was no longer on the a/c install system but on how we would fix the lighting on the podium. The a/c rep ensured that the air conditioning system was in pristine condition. By the time it was afternoon, it was clear that I had gotten more than what I had bargained for, but everything was in place and working as it should.
