I was sweating because the air conditioning wasn't on

One of those people, including my father, believes that you should keep using a functional car, appliance, or other items until it breaks. He’s always been this way, ever since I was a little kid. He would make sure we took advantage of all the amenities in our house. Dad would only buy a replacement when he realized there were no longer any repairs that were required. When I was about eight years old, my family had an old station wagon. Dad adored the car while everyone else detested it. As we were driving home after dropping the kids off at school, the car started smoking in the middle of the road. Dad pulled over and tried to fix it, but it was too late. He didn’t purchase a new vehicle until after that, and his mother made sure it was red and the model she preferred. There hasn’t been much change since then. I discovered my parents’ air conditioner was broken when I went to see them last summer. Mom insisted that dad replace the air conditioner, but she later claimed that he had been reluctant. She decided not to press the issue because she knew it was almost over, and lo and behold, the air conditioning stopped working. Dad attempted to contact the nearby heating and cooling company for assistance, but they were fully booked for the upcoming three days. Because I had driven the day before, I was perspiring a lot now that the air conditioning was turned off. Dad apologized to Mom for his mistake and promised to fix the faulty air conditioner.
