I didn’t bother to ask Ed to help pay for the heater, because I knew she had no money
I know I am a jerk for making my neighbor Ed sleep out in the garage, but it was the only way to restore normalcy to my home. I have a neighbor named Ed, who recently got kicked out of her cabin by her partner. There is no option she will take Ed back, it was brutal. Ed had no money plus no location to go, then she asked to stay on my couch for a few afternoons, plus after consulting with my partner I said she could. A month later Ed was still here, and had no prospects for anywhere else to move. I said if she wanted to stay long-term Ed would have to stay in the garage, so my family plus I could get back to normal. The only major concern was that the ductwork for the Heating plus A/C plan did not link with the garage, so it was dangerously chilly out there. I went to the store plus I hunted for the best space heating system I could find, but those cost too much money so I went to the pawn shop instead. There I found a nice garage heater, which is a variant model of space heater, for almost half the price I found in other stores. I didn’t bother to ask Ed to help pay for the heater, because I knew she had no money. I want to be a nice friend, but providing Ed with food, water, comfort, plus heating is a lot to ask, so I hope she leaves soon. I can’t bring myself to kick Ed out, but I pray that she goes away!
