The HVAC technician stymied me last week.
He came upstairs, said excuse me, and left.
There was no explanation why he was leaving. He didn’t tell me if the furnace was repaired. All I knew was that he was leaving, or I assumed he was leaving. I was sure if he was just going to the service for something, or leaving until I saw the service van pull away. I waited over an hour before I called the HVAC company to see what had happened. The receptionist said she didn’t know, because they had heard nothing from him. They thought the HVAC technician was still at my home. I told her she thought wrong, and I wanted to know why he excused himself and left. She agreed she would also like to have that question answered. An hour later, I got a phone call from the HVAC company. She was sending a different HVAC technician to the house. When I asked what happened to the first HVAC technician; she said it wasn’t her story to tell, but he had something personal to attend to. I knew what it was like to have a personal matter come up while at work. You either wait until the work has been completed, or you tell the person you are working for what has happened. You never just walk out on a job. My husband told me my need to know what happened to the HVAC technician was just my nosey side coming out. Although the furnace was repaired, I was still curious, and really wanted to call and see if I could get an answer about why the HVAC technician left.
