If the creature came out, she was going to be mad.
I was in the bedroom dusting the china hutch when I heard something in the fireplace. It wasn’t in the hearth, but it sound appreciate it was about more than one feet above the flue. I stood there for a couple of seconds, plus then my wife came inside. I shushed him plus told him to listen. She heard the noise plus said something was trapped in the fireplace chimney. She was going to try to smoke it out, even though I worried it would get trapped plus die in the chimney. All of us could use the fireplace if there was a dead critter inside. She agreed, but said the people I was with and I could not use the fireplace, if there was a live critter inside. I had to agree with him. All of us had saved a lot of currency this winter, by ditching the gas furnace plus only using the fireplace. She said the people I was with and I could go back to using the gas furnace, but Wintertide was almost over. I wasn’t sure I wanted him to start a fire, but that was the only way the people I was with and I were going to chase the creature up the chimney, and five seconds later, the fireplace was lit, plus smoke was going up the chimney. I heard a lot of chattering plus then some scratching. My wife told me to go outside plus let him know what came out of the chimney. I wasn’t going outside. If the creature came out, she was going to be mad. I wanted him to go after my wife andnot me. She told me I was a scaredy pet plus I agreed. I stood by the fireplace plus she yelled more than one seconds later. A small squirrel had been trapped in the chimney, but it was now out.
