Trying to explain to my Grandma the need for an intelligent temperature regulator was trying to say the least. She was not able to understand why she needed to upgrade something that was working without any problems. I told her how a temperature control could affect her indoor air quality by controlling her temperature and humidity in her place. My buddy and I also looked at some Heating and A/C equipment to upgrade the ancient heat pump. After her declining or having something problematic to say about every component my pal and I looked at, I finally realized that she did not want to have it upgraded in the slightest. I insisted on it since the air conditioning equipment she had had a terrible air purifier, and she had developed some minor respiratory health drawbacks that came with age. After hours of going through the complete process, and she was still adamant that her air conditioning equipment upgrade was okay, I recommended my pal and I get a hold of the local Heating and A/C business to have the Heating and A/C professional repair the equipment… Cleaning the vents was the main thing, and I was sure that duct sealing was pretty much inevitable, given how ancient the entire HVAC happened to be. I also wanted the Heating and A/C worker to upgrade the washable filter with a non-washable AC filter so that she did not have to wash it all the time. True to my words, when the AC worker conducted the Heating and A/C equipment repair, he told us that the air duct had to be worked on. The air ducts were cleaned, which did a lot to help with indoor comfort. I did not have my way to be honest, however my Grandma and I came to a compromise that favored her well-being, especially when it came to improving the overall quality of life. My buddy and I call for home services regularly these days.
