Jackie and my sister have been friends for a long time.
To be honest, I’ve had a crush on her for as long as they’ve been friends.
But, I always try to hide it because I am 2 years younger than Jackie. She graduated high school with my sister and went off to college. I was still in high school, so I kept my feelings to myself. I think my sister knows but she chooses to ignore it. Anyway, Jackie knew she always wanted to become an HVAC tech since she was in middle school. So, after high school, she joined a local community college to study to become a HVAC tech. Once she was done with school, she would become a certified HVAC tech. My sister went to the same college, but she wanted to become an auto mechanic. She loves cars, and is always repairing things with our dad. So, it was great to see her go to school, and pursue a career she liked. A year after joining college, Jackie graduated, and got her HVAC certification. She was then employed by a local HVAC company, and it’s been 2 years now. Recently, we were having issues with the HVAC system and mom wanted to replace it. She needed help picking out the best HVAC system and Jackie came by to give mom the best advice. I was so happy to see and we actually had a conversation as mom was about 10 minutes from home. Despite being two years older than me, I had to at least shoot my shot. I asked Jackie out and she said yes. So, this Friday I am going out with a beautiful HVAC technician.
