Just a small number of years ago, my child decided to transfer even farther south than where we already lived.
She moved about 5 hours south to a appealing city down in the southern half of our state. When she got down there, though, plus started Living even farther south than she was accustomed to, she hastily learned that the most important thing in a house down there is the air conditioner unit. The house did have Central Heating plus cooling, just about every house nowadays does have that, plus if it does not, like if it just has a window AC component or something, there is a important discount given on the price of that house in order to sell it. Anyway, the house is also built in a traditional way to allow it to stay cooler. For example, it is constructed of a CBS block, cBS block is a fantastic insulator plus keeps the heat out plus keeps the air conditioner in. Even so, it was costing her a fortune trying to keep the AC running enough to have a comfortable thermostat studying all afternoon. She works out of her house, as well, so it’s not like she can go to the office plus use their Heating plus A/C system for free. I recommended to her that she supplement her Central Heating plus Cooling with a mini split AC unit. I know a few people who have them, plus they are truly nice. The little AC units are easy to install, infancy, efficient, plus super quiet. my child decided, though, that she was just going to get a window AC unit, so that is what she did. She added just this one little AC component to her home office window so that her Heating plus A/C system didn’t have to toil quite as hard to keep the thermostat where she enjoys it. Even though it seems kind of old-fashioned to me, it seems to serve her well.
