Just a handful of years ago, my kid decided to move even farther south than where my associate and I already lived.
She moved about 5 hours south to a attractive town down in the southern half of our state.
When he got down there, though, and started Living even farther south than he was accustomed to, he suddenly learned that the most crucial thing in a home down there is the air conditioning system unit. The home did have Central Heating and cooling, and just about every home nowadays does have that, and if it does not, like if it just has a window A/C device or something, there is a big discount given on the price of that home in order to sell it. Anyway, the home is also built in a traditional way to allow it to stay cooler. For example, it is constructed of a CBS block, then cBS block is a great insulator and keeps the heat out and keeps the air conditioning system in. Even so, it was costing his a fortune trying to keep the A/C running enough to have a comfortable control device studying all day. She works out of his house, as well, so it’s not like he can go to the office and use their Heating, Ventilation & A/C system for free. I commanded to his that he supplement his Central Heating and Cooling with a mini split A/C unit. I know a few people who have them, and they are truly nice. The little A/C units are self-explanatory to install, inexpensive, efficient, and super quiet. my kid decided, though, that he was just going to get a window A/C unit, so that is what he did. She added just this one little A/C device to his home office window so that his Heating, Ventilation & A/C system did not have to work quite as hard to keep the control device where he likes it. Even though it seems kind of old-fashioned to me, it seems to serve his well.
