I kept telling my husband there were bugs in the air vents.
He said he had seen no bugs, but I had.
He looked inside all the air vents, but he couldn’t see anything. I asked if he wanted to call the HVAC company or if I should. He didn’t think we needed to call the HVAC company. He didn’t see anything inside and thought I was seeing ants moving around. He knew my eyesight wasn’t the best and tried to tell me I may be seeing things. It didn’t take long for me to realize he really didn’t think there was anything there. The next day, I realized he may be right that it was ants. I wanted to put some ant poison in the air vents, but I didn’t know what would happen if the air conditioning came on and blew the dust into the house. Although it was said to be safe for humans, I didn’t want to take that chance with our children, or with us. I looked around to see if there was anything else I could use to catch the bugs. I found some sticky paper we had used for mice and stuck it in the air vent. The next day, I hadn’t seen any more bugs, and thought we had captured them. I pulled the sticky paper out of the air vent only to find that my bugs were baby mice and the mother was standing there looking at me and unable to move. I felt so guilty that I sat down and cried the entire afternoon.
