Well, so much for all that retirement planning. My hubby and I have decided to stay put now that my buddy and I are grandparents. I don’t know what it is, however the idea of leaving for the south and all that a/c didn’t seem right. Once the grandbabies were born, my buddy and I were both rethinking our plans and for more than a decade, we’d been actively planning to update the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component in our house, sell it, and move to the land of the heat pump. My fantastic friend and I would holiday in areas that my buddy and I thought we might want to retire to. And my buddy and I had even begun looking for homes down there. The end was near for our afternoons inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C of our respective offices. That’s when our eldest child had our first grandkid. My fantastic friend and I were both completely caught off guard by how much we both enjoyed being Grandma and Grandpa. Neither of us had ever thought that this would be the case. So when the next one came along, my buddy and I knew that we both were staying put. We’re genuinely going to sell the house at some point, but my buddy and I just added a sunroom as a nod to all that time in the sunlight we didn’t pursue. For sure, it’s going to add value to our property. And the heating is good too as we stayed out there all winter this year.
