Yep, I guess the neighbors have gone all in on a/c all the time now, as it’s almost mid April and that seems about right.
Those are some kind people and I’m sure blessed they live next door, they’re from up north and have only been here a couple of years.
They don’t take to the heat and humidity as they had hoped I guess and once July rolls around they stay sealed up in the a/c. Like seriously, they go from the garage in the a/c of a car to work. There they are inside the commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C of that office all afternoon, and then back inside the a/c of the car to the garage and then inside the central a/c of their home. This is the bi-weekly routine until at least September, well except for weekends. Then, they just stay sealed up inside the central a/c morning, noon and night. Again, I’m quite serious. I sure miss my neighbors during the Summer, but how in the world do they afford all the cooling costs? I checked and their SEER rating is about the same as our heat pump. Man, I have a full plan of attack when it comes to a/c costs, as I’m all about prepping the household to save on a/c expenses. And I’m a control component hawk when it comes to the Summer. I’m even doing all the cooking outside this Summer so I don’t use the stove and heat up the house, and even then I hate opening the utility bill from July through September. My neighbors must be paying an absolute fortune in cooling costs for their home.
