I had to get creative when it came to finding a space for myself.
When I was daddy, I pretty much the run of the house.
Or at least my partner let me believe so. I kept the temperature control setting more to my liking & if I wanted to stand in the residing room, I could. Now that I’m just dad, it’s just not that way anymore. Not only do I get all kinds of grief when I mess with the temperature control, the residing room is now where my youngsters gather. Our apartment is where the youngsters come to hang out. And I’m cheerful that they want to hang out in the residing room because it’s an inviting space. For sure, I’d rather that than have them spending all their time in the home offices. With daughters, I sort of like open doors. But to get the sort of air conditioning & privacy that I want, I had to go find it. My friend and I live in a region where there just aren’t that several basements. I’m sure there is a water table reason for all of that or whatever, however suffice to say, I don’t have a basement person cave. However, I had the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals come out to put in a ductless heat pump in the attic. Having that ductless heat pump up there makes that space quite wonderful. For one thing, it’s completely finished with plywood floors & sheetrock walls. It didn’t need to be pretty however having that air conditioning from the ductless heat pump made all the difference in the world. Now, I can just slip up there with my headphones, kick on the ductless heat pump & chill out alone.
