I am a very shy and nervous person and I don’t really like to talk on the phone. I still text my mom, because it is my preferred method of communication. I rarely make phone calls or appointments for myself. I lived at home with my parents until recently. When I moved out into my own apartment, I had several issues in the beginning. One of the biggest issues was a problem with the hot water heater. I contacted the landlord to talk about the problems with the hot water heater and he gave me the name of a plumbing service to call on the phone. I didn’t want to make the phone call to the landlord, and I certainly didn’t want to make a phone call to a business. I went online to look at the website so I could find the telephone number for the business. When I visited the online website, I was surprised to see several different ways to contact the business to make an appointment for plumbing services. One of the ways I could contact the business was to send a chat message to an operator that was standing by. I contacted the plumbing service using the chat message option and I got a response in less than 2 minutes. I set up an appointment with a contractor and I even paid for my services online. I completed the entire transaction online and I didn’t have to say much at all to the contractor that came to the house to fix the problem with the hot water heater. It could not have been easier unless the landlord would have taken care of the problem first.
