Several years ago, I moved to the southern part of the country, and while I care about it here, the weather can be pretty brutal.
In fact, my associate and I are in the middle of our second heatwave for the season and it’s not even Summer yet. So, who knows what’s to come this year. Anyway, a few weeks ago, my associate and I had a major heatwave where the uneven temperatures rose into triple digits for 4 consecutive days. At first, things were fine, however then my a/c decided to cut down after the second day of the heatwave. I rent a 2-bedroom townhouse, so when the a/c broke down, I right away contacted the landlord. In my head, I believed that I would have a/c the next day, however, I was shocked when my landlord told me that it would take numerous days to get the a/c fixed. Apparently, due to the heatwave, there was a high demand for service. I think my a/c wasn’t the only one that broke down during that time. If you have never lived without an a/c in the middle of a heatwave, let me assure you that you don’t ever want to deal with that. In my opinion, it was one of the most miserable experiences that I have had in my town to date. Thankfully, my landlord was able to deliver a temporary solution, he provided a portable a/c. While the portable a/c can only cool small spaces, it kept my bedroom cool. So, I was able to sleep comfortably at night. It took 4 days to repair the a/c and I couldn’t have been more happy when it was back up and running.
