Several years ago, I moved to the southern part of the country, in addition to while I love it here, the weather can be pretty brutal.
In fact, we are in the middle of our second heatwave for the season in addition to it’s not even Summer yet.
So, who knows what’s to come this year. Anyway, a few weeks ago, we had a major heatwave where the rapidly changing temperatures rose into triple digits for 4 consecutive days. At first, things were fine, however then my air conditioning device decided to break down after the second day of the heatwave. I rent a 2-bedroom townhouse, so when the air conditioning device broke down, I immediately contacted the landlord. In my head, I believed that I would have air conditioning the next day… However, I was shocked when my landlord told me that it would take several days to get the air conditioning device fixed. Apparently, due to the heatwave, there was a high demand for service. I believe my air conditioning device wasn’t the only one that broke down while in that time. If you have never lived without an air conditioning device in the middle of a heatwave, let me assure you that you don’t ever want to deal with that. In my opinion, it was one of the most angry experiences that I have had in my neighborhood to date. Thankfully, my landlord was able to supply a temporary solution, he gave a portable air conditioning unit. While the portable air conditioning device can only cool small spaces, it kept my bedroom cool. So, I was able to sleep comfortably at night. It took 4 days to repair the air conditioning device in addition to I couldn’t have been more excited when it was back up in addition to running.
