The emergency electrician wasn't cheap

My wife and I were having some trouble in the house. Neither one of us knew how to fix the issue, but we knew it was something that needed to be repaired. The light switch in the kitchen kept turning on and off on its own. Even when the light switch was in the off position, the light was still coming on. I knew that the wiring inside of the house was as old as the building and that made me feel unsafe. I contacted an electrician that specializes in repairs, installations, and maintenance. The electrical contractor was licensed, insured, and bonded. The contractor performed a diagnostic troubleshooting service to determine why the problem was occurring. The guy troubleshooted all of the problems and safely fixed the issue before leaving. The guy also gave us a 6-month warranty that the equipment will function safely and efficiently. If we have any issues at all with the same outlet, we can call for free troubleshooting. Since we had same day call service, the electrical contractor charged us the same day emergency rates. The emergency electrician wasn’t cheap. It was about $450 to get the problems fixed. I had to write a check and post the date for pay day. I was thankful the company allowed me to do that, because otherwise, I would have needed to go to the shop and get a payday loan. My wife hates when we have to get a payday loan. Unfortunately, we couldn’t sit around and do nothing about the obvious wiring problem. It could have caused a fire.
