My air conditioner was making weird noises and not cooling my house properly.
I replaced the dirty air filter with a clean one and prayed that it would fix the issue.
Unfortunately, my air conditioner didn’t start performing better and I was forced to hire an HVAC professional. It was about time for me to have my HVAC system serviced for the summer anyway, so I made the call. The HVAC professional was able to come service my air conditioner two days later, and I explained the issues I was having. I also told him that I’d already replaced the air filter because I was hoping it would solve the issue. The HVAC professional told me that replacing the air filter could fix a lot of problems, but not all of them. He did his job and serviced the entire HVAC system during the appointment time, and he came back with a list of repairs that needed done. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get to the repairs that afternoon, but I didn’t know when I’d be able to have the work done either. I told the HVAC professional that I’d call him once I figured out what my schedule was like. A few days went by, then a week, and I still hadn’t called the HVAC professional back about having the repairs done to my air conditioner. Somewhere during that time though, my air conditioner started working again! There were no more weird noises and the air was cool again. I’m glad I waited to have the repairs done.
