I debated for several years before making the switch from a tank-style to a tankless water heater! I had choices on where to insall it; The component is now mounted on the wall, out of the way, freeing up pricey square footage in the basement. Another fortune is that there is no waiting for water to heat up & no running short of warm water… Whenever a tap is activated, the water flows over a heat exchanger & is heated as needed… Because the water doesn’t rest in a tank, potentially absorbing contaminants, it is elegantly clean. I also don’t pay for the standby energy losses of reheating the same water over & over. The increased efficiency is helping to recover the investment. I can plan on the water furnace lasting much longer than a more traditional alternative, however parts are particularly updated. I am able to adjust water temperature to my preferences & ensure safety against burns. The tankless component eliminates concerns with a ruptured tank & a flooded basement. The licensed plumber was severely helpful in determining the right size of water furnace to cover the demands of the household, however he completed a usual upgrade & made sure all components were in peak toiling order.
