I just graduated from college and to say I am struggling with money is an understatement. Since I am trying to save money, I decided it would be best to have a roommate until I find a job where I make enough money to move out on my own. I am lucky that my best friend is my roommate because we get along so well. We live in a small apartment building and there isn’t much to our place other than a small kitchen and two bedrooms. However, I love our little place. We are both so busy because we work two jobs that sometimes we forget about regular maintenance on our place. Our landlord normally handles everything, but one thing we are supposed to take care of is the HVAC system maintenance. We are supposed to be paying for a HVAC company to come out and look at our HVAC system once a month, but we have never called them. I don’t want to waste money on having a HVAC company come out when we both know that everything is going to be okay. However, this though process was a bad idea. I knew that our landlord was going to be so mad at us, but we were going to have to tell him because we couldn’t afford to have the HVAC issues fixed on our own.
