I had set the cable on the floor too close to the heater, & the heater was melting the backside of it, but our cable sits lopsided now, & I can’t help but get angry at myself when I guess about how deranged I was to set the cable so close to the heater
There is nothing like the festive cheer of Christmas! It was mid-December, & my hubby & I were cleaning & getting ready for a immense Christmas gathering at our house, and when Vince & I clean together, we like to clean room by room. We had finished the living room, dining room, & bathroom. All we had left was the living room & our study room. Because our living room is so small, I told my hubby that I could handle the living room all by myself if he would just do the study room. As I started to clean, I observed that the room was a little cold. We don’t have a heater in our house, so we use space heaters to keep moderate in the winter months, however there were three heaters in the dining room & only one in the living room, so I decided to grab one of the heaters from the dining room & set it closer to me so I wouldn’t be chilly while cleaning. I thought I had finished the living room, but after that I observed that the cable rest was really dusty. I picked up the cable & set it on the floor & began cleaning the stand. I was almost finished when I aromaed something funny. It smelt like melting plastic. I hastily stopped what I was doing & looked around the room to find out where the aroma was coming from. I realized it was coming from the TV. I had set the cable on the floor too close to the heater, & the heater was melting the backside of it, but our cable sits lopsided now, & I can’t help but get angry at myself when I guess about how deranged I was to set the cable so close to the heater. I have learned my lesson, & now our space heaters kneel in the corners of the rooms away from anything they could possibly melt.
