Even though it almost cost me my HVAC equipment, wooing my wife was worth it.
- I was so completely enchanted by her that I did my utmost to impress her.
We met in the office. I happened to move my desk to her end of the office. Our office space has zone controlled HVAC. This means there are five different heating and cooling zones that are independent of one another. So people can sort of group together by air conditioning comfort. I moved over to her area when a guy asked if I would switch with him. I’m not all that sensitive when it comes to the thermostat setting so I agreed. It was the best thing that could have ever happened. The first time I spoke with my wife, I could only nod and smile. That’s how stupid in love I was at that moment. I went back to my desk and wished for more HVAC cooling because I was so flushed and beside myself. Over the course of nearly a year, we became closer and closer. Finally, I asked her out and she accepted. We went to some dinners and we really, really hit it off. So I planned a big day for us one Saturday. We’d get out of the HVAC and enjoy a wonderful day at the park with a picnic. Then, it would be back to my place of a dinner that I would cook. However, I lit like 50 candles in my house. What I didn’t realize was that wax would end up on the HVAC air filter. It nearly coated it and choked out my HVAC equipment.
