Sporadically I end up working for a customer that wants to ask questions during the entire service appointment.
I really do not mind answering all of the questions, however there are times when I need to concentrate.
A few weeks ago I was working on a ductless A/C installation task. The customer remodeled the dining room in their cabin and they decided to add a ductless A/C component to the dining room. I thought it was a great idea because the customer added windows throughout that room and they let a lot of heat and sunshine into the room. The sun room looks fantastic, however it does add a lot of sun. The customer called my business a couple of afternoons before he wanted to schedule the ductless A/C installation task. I was working that Thursday, so I decided to take care of the installation task on my own. As soon as I arrived, the customer started asking questions about the installation task. I tried to answer the questions as I started preparing the area for the work. I was trying to move abruptly and methodically, however the customer continued to ask more and more questions. I did not want to be rude, however I needed to concentrate on the past and I couldn’t answer questions and labor at the same time. I finally told the customer that I needed to focus on the ductless A/C installation task and he left the room, unfortunately, he came back 10 minutes later and continued to ask more questions until I finished the task 6 hours later.
