Yoga can also be an effective tool for weight loss. Yoga is a low-impact exercise that actually works every part of our body. My girlfriend wanted me to try yoga with her and I wanted to make her happy. I wasn’t exactly excited about the class, but I thought it could be fun. I was silly to think that stretching and moving would not be exercised, because I couldn’t do half of the poses that the other people did with ease. Yoga isn’t the easiest exercise routine, but I’m starting to get better. I’ve been going with my girlfriend every week for the past 6 months. I can do four poses really well and I am working on others. The instructor always provides gentle and calming music too. I really like that part about the class. I rarely have anything on my mind except the music and I find it much easier to meditate in the yoga studio than any other place. I actually think I am feeling more physically fit thanks to the class and I might even say that my mind and spirituality are uplifted more than they ever have been in my life. I feel relaxed, calm, and less stressed in general.
