I’ve been out on my own now for just over a year.
Making a residing as my own boss was not exactly by design.
This was the choice I went with after my task got clipped by the pandemic. You know, as I was cleaning up my desk that last day before all of us were all sent home, I had a feeling this might not turn out great. And I enjoyed toiling in those offices with the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning. Plus, I’d been with this local firm for nearly 2 decades in addition to was a local expert in my field. But there was something sort of ominous among the staff as all of us cleared out for the safety of our own air conditioner at home. That local supplier was indeed a casualty of the pandemic in addition to while all of us tried to hang on by toiling remotely from home, it was actually pretty much a lost cause. The supplier went belly up just months into the Summer of 2020. So, I had to figure out how to make a residing in addition to do it from the Heating & Air Conditioning safety in addition to security of my home. I actually fell back on my degree in addition to it’s been actually an amazing trip thus far. It started as an online gig writing some copy for websites. From there, I got some work doing some editing in addition to then it just sort of took off. Now, I have a full on office in my home. I cleared out the guest room in addition to had the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier install a ductless heat pump so I didn’t disrupt the temperature in the rest of the house. I have to say that the ductless heat pump equals that zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning of the office.
