The past few years have been filled with a bunch of changes for me and my family. Prior to 2020, we were just doing our best to raise our family and pursue careers. Of course all of that has changed a great deal given all the changes as a result of the challenges we’ve all faced. For one, I no longer work in an office. When they closed up those offices with the zone controlled HVAC as the pandemic hit, that was the last time I’d be at that desk. Of course, I didn’t realize this at the time. I was trying to figure out how the heck I was going to work remotely at home, make sure my kids were studying and deal with all the other changes. The working from home didn’t start well and it was obvious that I had to figure something out. My kids got into a good rhythm when it came to schooling in the air conditioning of home. My husband took over the guest room for his home office and I was just sort of the odd man out. But we solved this by buying a premade storage shed and putting it in the back of the house. This became my home office and I love it. Yet, I love it even more this winter as I now has some real HVAC equipment to keep me comfortable. The first winter, I dealt with the cold temperatures by using a space heater in my new office. But this year, we had an electrician wire my new office so I could have the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump.
