How I Keep Myself Healthy in the Flu Season

Air filters as a whole are amazing at preventing the contraction of airborne illness, as they filter things like dust, dander, pollen, bacteria, and droplets of the cold and flu virus out of the air in your home

Many people love the winter and autumn seasons. If you ask a great number of people what their favorite seasons are, it’s not a far stretch to say that “autumn” and “winter” will be in the majority, and for good reason at that: people love the beauty of the cold months. We also adore the holidays within them as well, as many of us enjoy spending time with our families. What nobody loves about the autumn and winter seasons, though, is the fact that they’re also cold and flu season as well. Cases of influenza spike during December, which many consider to be the quintessential winter month. While most people take cold and flu medicine to prevent against getting sick during this time, I rely primarily on one thing: my ultraviolet (UV) air filter. Air filters as a whole are amazing at preventing the contraction of airborne illness, as they filter things like dust, dander, pollen, bacteria, and droplets of the cold and flu virus out of the air in your home. There are many types of air filters, including HEPA filters, UV light filters, washable filters, and even more. I chose to use UV light filters specifically inside of my home due to the fact that they’re especially adept in protecting against airborne diseases, something that comes in very handy to me, as I have a weak immune system and am prone to getting sick. With my UV light filter, however, I’ve been able to prevent getting sick this cold and flu season, and it’s all because my filter has been cleaning the air in my home and circulating new, clean air in! Thanks to this, I can spend more time enjoying all of the beautiful things that autumn and winter have to offer.
