I wanted to make the car all mine

My mother gave me a vehicle when I graduated from high school, and I was cheerful about it.

She told me that this was just a temporary gift until we could go out and do some vehicle shopping together.

The first thing I wanted to do was make the vehicle mine. I thought it would be enjoyable to put some vehicle graphics on the car. I found these awesome graphics that made the vehicle look as though it was staring at the vehicle behind me. I purchased the vehicle graphics kit, thinking it should be no more challenging than doing the transfers we did as kids. I also bought some pink polka dots to put on the doors. When I brought my package into the household, my mother asked what I was doing. I showed her the cool vehicle graphics I had bought, however my mother nixed it. She said there was no way she was going to allow me to put those things on that car. I pouted and started to cry while blurting out that she was the one who gave me the car. She then reminded me that it was merely temporary. She was going to take me vehicle shopping in a short period of time. If I wanted to put those monstrosities on my new car, then it was up to me. Until that time, the vehicle graphics had to go back into the bag. Although I sulked to a certain degree, I understood what she was saying. In the meantime, I had my vehicle graphics tucked away in my room, and every night I promised them they would soon have a new home.
