Dad gave me a car when I graduated from high school, and I was sincerely delighted.
He told me that this was just a temporary gift until we could eventually go out and do some car shopping together. The first thing I wanted to do was make the car mine. I thought it would be great to put some automobile graphics on the car. I found these relatively cool graphics that made the car look sort of like it was staring at the car behind me. I bought the automobile graphics kit, thinking it should be no more difficult than doing the transfers the people I was with and I did as small ones. I also bought some green polka dots to put on the doors. When I brought my package into the residence, my father asked what I was trying to do. I showed him the cool automobile graphics I had bought, however my father nixed it. He said there was no way he was going to allow me to put those ridiculous things on his car. I pouted and started to grumble while blurting out that he gave me the car. He then had to remind me that it was only temporary. He was going to take me car shopping in a few short weeks. If I wanted to put those hideous things on my new car, then it was up to me. Until then, the automobile graphics had to go straight back into the bag. Although I sulked a bit, I understood what he was talking about. In the meantime, I had my automobile graphics tucked away in my room, and every night I promised them they would soon have a new residence.
