It was pretty harsh when I took my dog out to go for a walk, the temperatures absolutely plummeted from just the previous day. We went from being in the 30s to the single digits, and that feels cold! I had to wear layers under my coat in order to stay warm and I had to even put a sweater on my dog with some doggie boots so he would be okay. We didn’t go very far, only enough for him to use the bathroom so we could get back to the house with the comfort of the gas furnace. The temperatures were so warm and cozy in the house that I was shocked at the ice-cold temperatures I walked out into with my dog. Fortunately, my dog was okay, he didn’t get frostbite or anything, and he seemed just as happy as I was when we got back inside the house with the perfect temperature control settings. I even decided to stack some wood in the fireplace to get the fire going because my hands were super icy after being outside for just a short while. I was glad that I didn’t have to go anywhere because I didn’t feel like freezing my butt off in the car while waiting for the heating system to warm up. Instead, I prepared some hot cocoa and relaxed with my dog in front of the fireplace, and I turned on the television as well to see what was on. I ended up enjoying this baking show that gave me some great ideas for dinner. I had all the ingredients in my freezer, and I was glad I didn’t have to leave the comfort of my fireplace.
