My partner and I were recently fighting before the summer time season started… I was telling her that we should skip the cooling plan tune-up.
I said I could wipe out the plan and make sure the air filter was changed, and that was all we particularly needed, then she begged to differ.
She said if we didn’t have the cooling plan worked on, we could develop extreme troubles with the cooling plan and she said there was no way she was going in the middle of the sizzling season with no air conditioning system. I assured her everything would be great and left it at that; however, clearly she didn’t listen to me when I said we didn’t need it, and the one day when I was working in my apartment office, an heating as well as A/C professional arrived at the door. I asked him why she was there because I didn’t make arrangements for a cooling plan tune-up. The heating as well as the A/C professional seemed surprised, and said my partner made the arrangements according to the paperwork… Then she also asked me why in the world I wouldn’t want a cooling plan tune-up before the summer time weeks. She explained how it was honestly risky and she needed to be there to make sure all the safety mechanisms were working fine, the ductwork was great with no leaks, and parts were upgraded if needed. I thought about it for a minute and realized she and my partner were right, this needed to be done. It didn’t matter that I wanted to save currency, I knew I needed to find another way. The heating as well as A/C professional honestly did find a few leaks in the ductwork and then a ductwork cleaning and resealing was in order. When my partner got back home, I apologized and I told her she was right all along.
