In a couple of months, we are going to be turning the garage into a new living room.
I have been bugging my husband about getting us a new living room for a long, long time.
He always says that we aren’t able to build any new living space onto the existing part of the house because of zoning issues that we would be having in the neighborhood. I hate the fact that there are all of these zoning laws and ordinances around here that we have to contend with. Anyway, since we couldn’t add on any extra space to the outside of the house and I still wanted to have a newer, bigger living room, my husband had to think outside of the box. He decided that we would turn the garage into a new living space instead because that way, we wouldn’t have to worry about the zoning issues. The problem with that was the fact that the garage was never set up with heating and cooling ducts the way that we would need it to be in order to be additional living space for us. So now we are the lookout for a local heating and cooling company that will be willing to install the ventilation ducts and heating and cooling vents that we are going to need in the new living room. I know that it’s not a normal sort of job, but I’m hoping that we will be able to find someone to do it for us without too much of a problem. I know that once we get everything finished, we are really going to love it. I just hope that we can get the HVAC system to work the right way.
