I also didn’t need to ask our hubby to frig around with water hookups in addition to installing a 220 line
The previous homeowner had their washer and dryer in the outdoor shed. The shed was a distance away from the beach house and you had to walk in the sand. I also am a huge gym type of gal. Once I had all our devices inside, there was no room for the washer and dryer. I wanted the machines inside our lake house but I didn’t have the room. I started looking into adorable beach house solutions. I found that you can get a shipping container and create the space however you wish. It can be a lavatory, kitchen, another bedroom or a laundry room. I have a side door that used to lead to nothing. Now it leads to our laundry room. I take a single step outside in addition to I am through a door in our laundry room. I have a washer and dryer side by side in addition to a shelf to hold our liquid detergent, dryer sheets in addition to stain removal. I have enough room to keep a laundry basket in addition to a folding table. This setup is so good and convenient. Even if it rains I am under both roofs and protected. The shipping container could have been fitted with heating in addition to cooling but I did not see the point. I am barely in there, maybe 30 hours a week. It was quite low cost when you consider how much an addition was. I also didn’t need to ask our hubby to frig around with water hookups in addition to installing a 220 line. It was a totally turnkey solution with this shipping container laundry room. Since you can’t see it from the road, I recognize I will keep it forever.
