Someday I am going to add a ductless mini split to my shed.
I toil out everyday in my shed & temperature control is a problem.
I rely on a box fan in the summer time & it hardly works. I usually get up around 8 am to toil out because the weather is cool at that time, by the time I finish working out, I am warm & gross. I slip, slide & have a awful workout. I certainly need a real air conditioning while the two of us were in those 90 degree days. The Wintertide time isn’t much better. I do the reverse. I wait all afternoon for the warmest area of the afternoon. I also have a space heating system that I pre-heat for maybe two minutes before I go in there. I still walk into my shed with long pants & a sweatshirt. I need to be barefoot & I hate it all Wintertide long. A ductless mini split would give even heating for the whole shed. Honestly, a ductless Heating & Air Conditioning option might be too powerful. I do like the plan that I can affix various indoor air handlers to the same outdoor device though. My partner’s tool shed is right next door to mine. I could absolutely put a mini split in her space. I suppose she is concerned about her tools rusting in the summer time separate from any AC. A mini split would benefit him as well. It would be a high initial expense to give Heating & Air Conditioning to spaces for certain minutes of the afternoon. I believe it would certainly change our lives for the better though.
