If the pandemic taught us anything it is to always go after what we want. Life is short and no one is promised tomorrow. For a long time my partner and I wanted to live near a lake. We had visited lake houses for years to enjoy the holidays. We found some wonderful lake communities where people lived well. However, we never wanted to take the leap of faith and move. It’s only after a close friend who had big ambitions passed away that we chose to not hold back. We knew of a lake community with some houses for sale so we scooped one for ourselves. The house was amazing but required an efficient cooling and heating system. We hadn’t been part of any cooling and heating system installation in a long time. The best thing to do was contact an area AC business for assistance. We found one that worked on heating and cooling systems across the community. They sent two AC professionals to our new home to do some inspection and advise us on the best system for the space. The AC professionals suggested a heat pump which was quite popular in the area. We had never come across a heat pump but liked everything he told us about the cooling and heating system. Even though it was a bit constant, we liked that it was a less fussy way to keep our new lake house comfortable. The AC business gave us a quote for buying and installing the heat pump. This unit would work to cool the house in summer and keep it warm in winter. Plus, we also got a smart thermostat to work with it.
