The oldest method

That is why I went to college to become a writer

I was doing some research for a college term paper I had to do on the history of heating and air conditioning and I was quite surprised to find out that the hot water boiler was known to be the oldest method of heating! Hot water boilers were around since nearly the beginning of time according to what I read. They were here long before electric furnaces, gas furnaces, and even any form of air conditioning. Reading all about this was not only a trip, but very educational for me as well. The fact that I had to even research all this stuff on heating and air conditioning was amazing to begin with. I always had a secret passion for wanting to become a certified heat and a/c specialist, but I realized that I would never be able to cut it out in the heat and a/c field once I learned how much physical labor sometimes goes into the job. Also the fact of having to be on the go non-stop was something that certainly was not for me. That is why I went to college to become a writer. And in turn this assignment on heating and air conditioning was a coincidence that I happened to be the one assigned to write about that! It for a second made me rethink my goals, but at the end of the day I found that I really would rather stick with becoming a writer instead. Heating and air conditioning really was not for me. But it was cool to find out the very first heating method on the planet!
