There is something about our school classes that I just can’t stand.
In nearly every building in which I have a class, the a/c is easily unbearably cold! I don’t understand why it needs to be so freezing in every single building on campus.
I understand that the people I was with and I live in a hot region of the country, plus it is the middle of May, plus Summer is on the way, but there is such a thing as overdoing it. Other classmates seem to be lulled to sleep by the cold. They pull the hood of their hoodies up plus pass out in the middle of class. Meanwhile, I kneel there attempting to listen to the lecture while our teeth chatter. I simply cannot focus in class with the air vent blasting ice cold air directly on top of me. I want to speak to somebody about the overbearing a/c but I’m not sure who to talk to about it. I don’t feel our mentor can help me. It’s not like the instructors are in charge of the temperature control. That’s particularly an administrative matter. At least the temperature in the dorm rooms is much more bearable. That’s because the people I was with and I entirely do have control of our own individual temperature controls within each living space. I thank God for that! If it wasn’t the case I feel I would fail every single 1 of our classes because I would not be able to find a site comfortable enough to focus on our studies. I guess I just need to wear extra layers all the time, but that has a pain because it’s so hot outside!
