I was kneeling in my learn looking out the window seeing the rain pitter patter & streak down the glass.
I had a hot mug of mulled plum cider in my hand, enjoying the warmth it was giving off.
I took a sip & shivered. I was wrapped up in both a cozy sweater & a blanket waiting for the Heating & Air Conditioning worker I had called earlier in the day to arrive, however my gas furnace gave out the evening before. It was around 4 a.m. when I woke up chilly cold & I knew something was up with the heat. I serviced the control unit only to find that it was dead. That was quite curious because I distinctly remember decreasing the batteries just a few weeks ago, & they were supposed to last for nearly a year! I asparticulared that there was some sort of electrical problem going on, despite the fact that I knew that it was best to wait on a professional to check it out for me. There was a tough freeze warning the evening before. I ran my faucets at a trickle to ensure that the pipes did not freeze… Perhaps the chilly rapidly decreasing temperatures had done something to the wiring connected to my gas furnace. My smartphone vibrated on the windowsill & I serviced it to find that the Heating & Air Conditioning worker had sent myself and others an update saying that he was leaving the shop & was on his way. I started daydreaming about what he may look like. If he is handsome & manages to repair my gas furnace suddenly, I may just give him a kiss & a hot hug & invite him to stay!
