My husband and I had been talking about the last HVAC report on our air conditioning unit.
The HVAC technician had suggested we purchase a new air conditioning unit before the next summer season.
We were looking at the prices of new air conditioning units, and they were out of our budget. He came home from work earlier this week, and he showed me an advertisement he had taken out of the newspaper. The local HVAC company was offering 30% off all leftover air conditioning units, in stock. We made a plan to go to the local HVAC company showroom and check out the air conditioning units. When we got there, we were greeted by a young woman; we were sure was not an HVAC technician. She said she was the daughter of the owner, and she was just helping with the clearance sale. My husband asked where the air conditioning units were, because we were interested in purchasing one. She showed us the different models they had in stock and also explained that they may not be the right size AC unit for our home. She suggested we talk to one of the HVAC techs who were available today. She requested one come to the showroom and talk to us. Since we were regular customers of their HVAC company, it was easy for him to pull up all the information on our AC unit. He said they had a model that was more modern than our AC unit, but it was the same size, and it was on sale.
